The Melbourne Aquarium is a first class tourist attraction and showcases a spectacular collection of Australian aquatic life, with over 10,000 exotic animals. This is the newest and most state-of-the-art aquarium in Australia and provides a complete interactive entertainment experience, from guided tours with marine specialists to scuba diving in the tank with the sharks! Not to be missed is the 360 degree Oceanarium which houses giant sharks and stingrays - witness the incredible live feeding presentations held twice each day. Also experience the beautiful Great Barrier Reef exhibit, Australian Billabongs, touch tanks and the exciting reality simulator ride (included in admission).  For VIP treatment, you can also take a behind the scenes tour (and glass bottom boat ride).

March of the penguins
It is worthwhile taking a 90 min drive down south to watch the parade of the world’s smallest penguins. Those beautiful little creatures emerge every night at sunset from the sea and waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows. The experience is truly memorable.
