Brisbane

>> Visit Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast

While Brisbane is a very buzzing and dynamic city, it doesn’t seem to be affected by the stress and burdens of its counterparts. Brisbane will charm you with its remarkable streetscapes as much as its laid-back atmosphere and friendly people. The locals affectionately call their city Brissy, so don’t be surprised if the name comes up in a conversation.

Each district has its own appealing personality and worth a visit. Southbank boasts spectacular parklands with beaches and pools nestled along the Brisbane River, while Queen Street Mall is the shopping heart of the CBD and Paddington is renowned for its old Queenslander style houses, antic shops and lovely cafes.

Brisbane also offers a wide range of attractions and activities easily accessible. From Museums and Art Galleries, to Bridge Climbing and kayaking, you can organise a wonderful day trip that will combine both active and relaxing leisure time.

How to get there?
Brisbane is situated about 127 km south of Noosa, 98km of Mooloolaba, 90km of Caloundra, and 43km of Caboolture.
If you drive, the Bruce Highway will bring you straight into Brisbane City. Underground paid parks are available all around the City Centre.

If you don’t have a car, catching a train is your best bet. You must first catch a bus to your nearest train station: Woombaye or Landsborough. The train ride lasts about 1 h20.
