Artists and Galleries

The Byron Bay area has long acted as a magnet for artists, visionaries and creativity.

Each area has its own galleries, though many artists also display their work in restaurants, resorts and cafes. Many different specialities are represented; painting, photography, carving and sculpting, although many artists experiment with a variety of mediums.

In the Byron district alone, there are over 70 galleries and outlets displaying everything from handcrafted jewellery to quilts and textiles; furniture to finely crafted leather, toys to pottery.

On Border St, you will find the Epicentre, a large art gallery featuring several retail outlets and resident artists.

Visit the Arts factory and discover your own talent by taking part in an artists workshop.
